PwC Finland acted as the exclusive financial, legal and tax advisor to the owners of Fare Oy in the majority sale of Fare Oy and its subsidiaries Koka Oy, Valvola Oy and Farlo AB to Swedish Armatec & C:o AB, a subsidiary company of Ernströmgruppen AB.

As a second generation family business founded in 1968, Koka has become Finland’s leading smart water metering company with a portfolio of over 4000 smart metering systems across Finland and Sweden. The company provides its customers with advanced metering solution including remote readable water meters and other meters such as energy and power meters, and their own user-friendly cloud software service. Koka's sustainable solutions that enable reduced water consumption and improved energy efficiency are used by housing companies, water utilities and industrial companies. Koka’s business has experienced strong growth in recent years while transforming from a technical trading company to a full scale smart metering solution provider.
